LGBTI

My design is for LGBTI, it is the male sign, female sign and both together.

Peer Review-

I think your design is really good and it gives a clear point for LGBTI. I really like the idea of the two signs together.

BANKSY

BANSKY

He is perhaps the most famous, or infamous, artist alive. To some a genius, to others a vandal. Always controversial, he inspires admiration and provokes outrage in equal measure.
Since Banksy made his name with his trademark stencil-style 'guerrilla' art in public spaces - on walls in London, Brighton, Bristol and even on the West Bank barrier separating Israelis and Palestinians - his works have sold for hundreds of thousands of pounds.
He has dozens of celebrity collectors including Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Christina Aguilera

He is also known for his headline-making stunts, such as leaving an inflatable doll dressed as a Guantanamo prisoner in Disneyland, California, and hanging a version of the Mona Lisa - but with a smiley face - in the Louvre, Paris.
But perhaps his most provocative statement, and the one that generates the most publicity, is the fact that Banksy's true identity has always been a jealously guarded secret, known to only a handful of trusted friends.

A network of myths has grown up around him. That his real name is Robin Banks. That he used to be a butcher. That his parents don't know what he does, believing him to be an unusually successful painter and decorator.
Then there's the suggestion that Banksy is actually a collective of artists and doesn't exist at all.
Such is the curiosity about Banksy that when the great man threw a pizza box into a bin in Los Angeles, the box resurfaced on auction site eBay, with the seller suggesting that the few anchovies left inside might yield traces of his DNA.
He is the Scarlet Pimpernel of modern art, so adept at leaving false trails that even his own agent has claimed that he is not certain of his identity.
Indeed, trying to establish just who the elusive Banksy is has proved as difficult as predicting the location of his next work.

stop smoking

coloured posters.

The blue colour is a relaxing colour as it is the colour of the ocean and the sky. blue could also be the colour of sadness but they are usually dark blue colours. These are more relaxed posters as the writing is a simple writing and not really bold and colourful. the writing is white to match the clouds or the edge of the waves when they create waves or crash onto the sand. this picture is for a surf film festival, there is a small picture of a man surfing in the back, the wiriting is wavy to look like the waves of and ocean.

This poster is blue and has some green and white on, the cartoon pictures make it look like something for children and the writing also shows that as it childish as it is more of a bubble writing.

this picture  is for an adidas event, the poster look really well done but does not show clearly what the event is as i do not know what its for. The title is a made from laces which gives a really good effect.

These posters are yellow, yellow is a happy colour, it is the colour of the sun. it is a campaign for a meat free week. it is showing people that the can sign up to give up meat for a week. its is a really positive poster so that could be why it is yellow as it draws people as it is such a bright, nice to look at, poster.

This is a poster for a new night club, it has yellow as it is a very exciting place, it has a woman dancing in the background to visualise what it looks like . the main colour is yellow but also has orange and green which are also bright joyful colours.

This is a poster for a music event, i think it is for a radio event where they play a long amount of music. it has just yellow with white and black, i think that these colours work really well together for this kind of event as they are really plain colours but they are made to stand out with a happy bright yellow background.

These posters have a red theme, they are propaganda posters so are promoting wars, and that you should join the war to help. this poster has a rustic look, with dark colours and a white background. red usually means anger which works well with he theme of war, it could also mean love but if the poster is about war it is most likley to mean anger.

This poster has a strong woman on which is a poster for the women at the time. is has a red and white striped background, both strong and bold colours, other than the women asking the whole picture is made up from red, white and blue. which are really instructing to look at to look at.
This poster is made by someone as it has an m'n'm going to war in the picture, not including the white background and logo the picture is basically made up from different shades of red, the main colours are bright reds in the middle with a dark red on the people at the bottom and on the writing.

Advise and information with colour.

These ads are giving lots of advise but also information about it at the same time.

Gorilla advertising

Guerrilla marketing was originally a marketing strategy in which low-cost, unconventional means (including the use of graffiti, sticker bombing, flyer posting, etc.) were used in a (generally) localized fashion to draw attention to an idea, product, or service. This alternative advertising style relies heavily on unconventional marketing strategy, high energy and imagination. Guerrilla Marketing is about taking the consumer by surprise, make an indelible impression and create copious amounts of social buzz. Guerrilla marketing is said to make a far more valuable impression with consumers in comparison to more traditional forms of advertising and marketing. This is due to the fact that most guerrilla marketing campaigns aim to strike the consumer at a more personal and memorable level.

smoking evaluation

This my mind map which i started of with, I'm making smoking campaign  so i did ideas for drawing larger later on. i have a few small drawing which i drew larger later on. i also included some key words, colours the poster could have and what colours could be on it. i also put a slogan and somethings on what could happen to the relationship between you and your family if you are to some large amounts.

These are my drawings which i have drawn larger, these are the ones from my mind map but in a larger scale. the top one is an image of one person smoking followed by others, the slogan is 'once you start, others can become addicted' it is suggesting that if yo were to start you friends and family might try it and soon become addicted too. my second drawing is of a fish bing hung by a hook, the slogan is 'it will hook you like a fish, quit smoking' it is saying that smoking can hook you as easily as a fish being caught on a fishing hook.

Mind Map- public information

This is the start to our public information project. in a group we listed different ways of showing of campaigns. These are where you can find different posters and adverts, some of them are just out and about so you can see them whilst walking around but some are also online and in magazines so you would have to look for them. Some come whilst your online e.g on social media or in your mail.

Public information

Advice and Information
NHS- This campaign is trying to get adults to take of three days of alcohol. it says 'do the dishes without a glass' its suggesting that people should stop drinking so when there washing there won't be any wine lasses to wash as you have drunk to  much, another way of seeing it is that while someone is washing the dishes they shouldn't be drinking. either way you look at it both ways suggest not drinking alcohol. The picture is also a really bright one so lots of people would see it. The picture is a really well done one as it has the gloves from washing creating the same on a wine glass in the centre and the water at the bottom.

Direct messaging- Awareness Campaigns                                                                               This is an advert for water aid, the slogan says 'toilets not graves' it is informing us to help by giving money to the charity so they can purchase and build toilets for families who don't have them, its suggesting that we should donate to water aid so there will be less deaths. And if we gave money for toilets there would far less deaths so less graves to dig.

Propaganda
This is a poster for the army, it is telling people that the army wants them to join to help fight against the opposing country. It has forceful words which shows the importance of the situation and who much they need people to join. Both posters have a man on this could be for two reasons one, they use it to get more people to look. two, they want to get more men to look at it as they need men for the war as it wasn't a women's job at the time these posters were made which i believe is ww2.
