tv programmes and movies:

animation is used in lots of movies and tv programmes. Most of the movies and tv shows are for younger children as cartoons have a cute look and usually look different from real life and the effect of the distorted look would attract young kinds. Lots of movies and tv's that are for younger kids have adult humour, if you watched it as a kid you wouldn't notice it but if you were to watch it now you mind notice the jokes. some examples; The simpsons age group is mainly for teens and young adults. it has some mature content so is not suitable for younger kids, my kind of age group watches it. Adventure time is a happy cartoon about a boy and his best friend/ brother. The target audience is for younger kids although older kids enjoy it too. The Aristocats was a disney movie made a while ago. The target audience was younger kids as it had cute animals.  Coca-cola uses animation in their adverts to grab attention from different people. This one uses an angry looking monster. to me this would have target audience of young boys and teens as it looks a lot like the games they play online and on their phones. Kellogg's uses an animated tiger in their adverts. this tiger wouldn't most likely attract a younger audience as the tiger is usually talking to kids in the adverts and he has more of a childlike animation look to him. In animations the animator doesn't have to worry about casting and trying to get the scene right by doing shot over and over again all he has to do is draw the animation, it is clearly a lot more complicated than that as he has to draw them over and over again but you are more free and you can draw the chartist how you like. some ways that animation is used is:
music videos, advertising, television programmes, computer games, mobile phones and the internet.
In music videos people might use animations to attract teens as we would find it interesting making us watch it more. In computer games animation is used as trying to make a game using real people would be very difficult. On mobile phones they might have adds and games using animation as it would make the phone more fun and cooler to look at. Lots of things on the internet use animations we spend a lot of time on the internet so putting adds with animations in might make us look at it and then go onto that add and buy or use what they are advertising.
