How tea and coffee is advertised.

TETLEY- tetley tea uses a group of cartoon men and women on their advert, called the tetley tea folk. One of their adverts have the group wander into the tetley factory, they walk round looking at how its made.  A worker finds them and takes them to some of their tea. they all enjoy the tea. The way that makes this advert good is the fact that by using the cartoons in a real life situation makes if a funnier advert, it would attract lots of people, kids because of the cartoon, teens and adults because the cartoon get very excited about the tea showing how good it is and elders might find it quite cute so it would make them want to buy the tea. A way in which they could improve the advert is by taking them to different places rather than just the factory.

PG TIPS- PG tips is a tea company that sells different types and flavours of tea. they use a popular celebrity in the advert who is accompanied by a well known monkey. Most of their adverts include the man and the monkey making a cup of tea, chatting and drinking the tea. One of their adverts is very clever in a way that they use clear glasses when making the tea showing how its made and how the flavour of tea soaks into the hot water. This is smart as it shows you what happens when you actually make the tea. By seeing this it may attract you to buy the tea as it looks appealing. This advert is in one place which may make it a little dull as its the same background to look at for the whole advert.

LIPTON TEA- lipton tea uses popular characters in their adverts, such as the muppets, this advert shows kermit the frog drinking a glass of lipton tea before he walks around new york very happy and helping people out. In the end of the advert he helps out miss piggy before she takes a drink of lipton tea, it shows how drinking lipton tea will improve your mood. This is smart as people know who the muppets are so seeing them enjoy it would make others want to buy it. This advert could be a little overwhelming as it is moving around a lot.

NESCAFE AZERA- nescafe has a brand called azera. They have a very clever add which i see quite frequently. In the advert they have a couple in bed, the woman turns over asking for a cup of coffee from the shop, as its raining the man doesn't want to go to the shop, therefore he walks down stairs and sticks his head out the door making it look as if he went out.  He makes a cup of coffee using nescafe's azera. once he has made it he returns to the bedroom handing the girl the coffee, she believes its from the shop so the advert is showing how the coffee brand is just as good as the coffee you get in the shops. I feel this advert is very strong and clever and would attract people to buy it as it would taste professional. This advert is moving around a lot which makes it look very realistic, unlike a lot of adverts which are usually in one place. A way in which they could improve this advert is possibly by making spin offs like other adverts, once that advert starts to get a little old they could make another where the girl tricks the man rather them him tricking her. In this advert the beginning starts with the girl saying 'you know what i want' she is indicating she wants coffee but it could also be seen as an adult joke. When the man is making the coffee they use a montage of clips making it look a lot quicker to make the tea than it actually is, if they were to show how long it actually look to make the tea people might be put of buying it, it may also be showing how the coffee is quick and easy to make.
